Computers, being electronic devices, are of interest to me.
And, since 2007, I’ve owned and operated a computer repair and consulting company in my area.
During this time, I’ve taken the liberty of recording some of my repairs to video and writing a few articles about computer repair and other useful computer related info.
Sure, there are a ton of great sites dedicated just to this topic, but I also know that some people who visit this site may find this interesting due to the computer/electronics over-lap.
Maybe you can even use some of this content to help solve your own computer related dilemmas.
The links below will take you to the different videos and articles.
You’ll find three main categories.
The computer security link will take you to content dealing with virus protection and removal, phishing schemes, identity theft protection, spam prevention, backing up your computer and more.
The computer repair link will take you to content dealing with repairs such as hard drive replacement, OS repair and upgrades, troubleshooting, motherboard replacement and more.
The everything else link takes you to content that didn’t quite fit into either of the above categories. You’ll find content related to free software, using technology to increase productivity and more.
The main focus of both categories is desktop and laptop computers, though some of the info (like spam prevention or identity theft protection) applies to tablets and smartphones as well.
Keep in mind that many of these articles and videos may not be 100% up to date due to rapid changes in technology. Some of them date back as far as 2008/09. And because many of them were originally posted on a different website, I likely will not be updating them much. Despite this, much of the info is still relevant and can be helpful.
Finally, this page is a work in progress and I’ll be porting more stuff over as time goes on, so keep checking back for new content.
